Hotboxin was never the same when Eban left. I rarely listen to it now, and I love Tyson, but Eban was a perfect balance to Mike. He pushed and guided the conversation in the right direction.
Mike was offered big dollars to upscale the pod and was basically forced to kick Ebin to the curb. Easily one of the worst business moves Mike has ever made. Most of the reason I watched the OG Hotboxin’ was because of Ebin.
@@sadboi7537 I initially watched it because of the lure of Tyson. I didn't even know who Eban was. But soon it became apparent that I was returning to the pod because of Mike and Eban and he was an integeral part of the show. I'm not saying that Mike couldn't have a successful pod without him, he is Mike Tyson after all, I just felt Eban managed the pod really well in relation to the guests and moving the conversation in interesting directions while also adding his own calming insight. I just find the new format rudderless, most the guests arent as interesting, the topics of discussion aren't as interesting, they are a bit flat and there's awkward silences and nonsense. I'm a big Tyson fan but Im just not into it as much as I was when Eban was involved.

I love Mike, but he burnt Eben, and does that shit a lot!!!

I totally disagree. He seemed like a really nice person but his vocabulary was limited and he was often quiet - unless talking about the toad…..

I like Eban, I've listened to him alot when co-hosting with Mike Tyson. I always wondered his back story, although I knew bits and pieces about his career. Great interview, James 👌🏻 you are enough and doing absolutely amazing !

If I could add a thought that I heard recently. Pleasure is from the neck down, happiness is from the neck up. Too many times we try to give ourselves pleasure, food, booze, drugs, sex, gambling etc. in the search for happiness, but that’s not happiness. It’s pleasure and it’s mostly short term. 🤔
I was the life and sole samr as u James but i was the first to stop taking drugs out all my mates no one would ever of thought me doing it first . I drink 3 times a week through boredom i work full time 6 days a week 4 kids big mortgage but i need something to trigger my brain to stop drinking me and my wife come from alki familys i do worry
The Eben flow podcast is brilliant, recommend it to anyone. Eben is a calming guru 🫶

good interview, but a bit annoyed with the cliche, "I had a million dollars but was still unfulfilled." Yeah, say that to a homeless person, who doesn't have a place to sleep and no food... most detached ungrateful comment a human can make

Mike tysons best co host he's ever had on hotboxing - the chemistry between the both of them were awesome- being honest, I do still watch hotboxing but I'll admit, in my opinion, the show lost a lot of itself when they parted ways for whatever reason (probably tysons camp and bot the man himself but I'm unsure about that)
